Once in a while the irritating situation may occur that HoloBuilder won’t load the user interface and just shows a message telling you that “your browser seems to support WebGL, it is disabled or unavailable”, even though you are already using the recommended Google Chrome Browser. This is due to a Chrome setting fault and can easily be solved.

1. Go to Chrome settings

2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Show advanced settings”:

3. Now again scroll to the bottom and check, or search in the search bar for the checkbox called “Use hardware acceleration when available”:

4. Now restart chrome and afterwards WebGL will work. You can finally verify if WebGL is working correctly by opening chrome://gpu/ in your address bar. There you find some useful information about your graphic processing unit, including “WebGL: Hardware accelerated” that looks like following:
