The irritating situation may occur that HoloBuilder won’t load the user interface and shows a message telling you that “your browser seems to support WebGL, it is disabled or unavailable”, even though you are already using the recommended Google Chrome Browser. This might happen due to an incorrect Chrome setting and can easily be solved.

1. Go to Chrome settings

Chrome settings

2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Show advanced settings”:

Advanced settings in Chrome

3. In the advaced settings, again, scroll down to the bottom and check, or use the search bar to find the checkbox called “Use hardware acceleration when available”. Enable this setting by ticking the box:

Enabling hardware acceleration in Chrome

4. After enabled this setting, restart chrome. WebGL should be working now. You can finally verify if WebGL is working correctly by opening chrome://gpu/ in your address bar. There you find some useful information about your graphic processing unit, including “WebGL: Hardware accelerated” that looks like following:

Now you can enjoy the full potential of HoloBuilder.com!
