How to set the language of the HoloBuilder platform and JobWalk App

Easily set the language for the HoloBuilder Dashboard, Web Editor and JobWalk App, choosing between English, German, Japanese and Spanish.

The HoloBuilder localization feature enables you to change the language of your Dashboard and Web Editor, Job Walk-App as well as automatically sent E-Mails in your preferred language.

How to change the language in the Dashboard and Web Editor

The language in your Web Editor or Dashboard will already automatically adjust to the browser's set language (English, German, Japanese or Spanish). Only if you prefer having a different language than the set in the browser settings, you need to manually adjust this.

It is now possible to individually change the language in our browser solutions with a few simple steps.

NOTE: The dashboard and editor can only be set to English (default setting), German, Japanese or Spanish.

Setting the language for the Dashboard and the Web Editor needs to be done individually but generally work the same way:

  1. Open the Company Dashboard in your web browser (preferably Google Chrome).

    Or, log in on to HoloBuilder EU to access the EU servers.

  2. Log in with your HoloBuilder access data.

  3. On the HoloBuilder Dashboard, switch to your user profile.

  4. Hover over or click the menu with the currently selected language in the upper right corner (next to the 'Sign out' option).

  5. Select the language you want to switch to.
    Your dashboard will immediately change to the newly selected language setting.

Setting the language in the Web Editor

1. Open the Web Editor in your web browser (preferably Google Chrome). You can

access the Web Editor via a direct link to the project or from the dashboard.

2. Log in with your HoloBuilder access data if you are not yet logged in.

3. On the Web Editor, you will see the dropdown in the upper right corner to choose

the language.

Click on the button once to see the possible languages.

4. Now you can change the preferred language by selecting your choice at the top.

5. The entire Web Editor has now been set to your preferred language.

NOTE: Currently the languages English, German, Japanese, and Spanish are available for the Dashboard and the Web Editor.

How to change the JobWalk App's language

IMPORTANT: To take full advantage of the language setting, you must have the latest JobWalk app version 2.7.2 installed. Update the app easily in the Apple Store or Google Play Store. If you are using the HoloBuilder EU server solution you will need to download the JobWalk app for EU for Android or iOS.

There are 2 options to change adjust the language settings of your JobWalk app:

  1. The app automatically adjusts to the device's default language if it is English, German, Spanish.

  2. The language can be set manually in the JobWalk app's settings independent of the device language.

1 - Adjust language according to the device setting

Please note that the following steps might differ depending on your device and operating system!

Setting the device language with iOS-mobile devices

Note: Currently the languages available are English, German, Japanese and Spanish.

The language of the JobWalk-App can only be changed if you change the language in the system settings of your mobile device:

  1. Install the JobWalk app version 2.7.0 or higher.

  2. .Open the settings of your mobile device (Android or iOS).

  3. Go to the 'General' settings.

  4. Go to 'Language & Region'.

  5. Now click on 'iPhone Language' (for iPad 'iPad Language') to set the preferred
    language.

  6. You have changed the system language of your mobile device, which has automatically changed the language of the JobWalk-App (version 2.7.0)

NOTE: Your entire device is set to the selected language, and therefore possibly other apps and programs as well.

Setting the system language on Android-mobile devices

  1. Open the settings of your Android mobile device.

  2. Tap on the 'General management' button.

  4. Now click on 'Language' to set the preferred language.

  5. You have changed the system language of your mobile device, which has automatically changed the language of the JobWalk App (version 2.7.0)

NOTE: Your entire device is set to the selected language, and therefore possibly other apps and programs as well.

2 - Adjust the language manually in the app settings

To adjust the language of the JobWalk App independent of your device's language setting, you can do this in the app settings:

  1. Open the JobWalk App.

  2. Tap on the little burger menu in the upper right corner to open the app menu.

  3. Select Settings from the list.

  4. In the app settings, scroll down to the item "Language".

  5. Select the language of your choice from the dropdown menu.

  6. Close and restart the app to show the changes to the newly selected language.

How to change the language of automatically sent E-Mails

  • The emails that have been automatically sent to the dashboard and other users through invitations or other interactions are currently displayed to the receiver in English only.

  • If you want the email to be displayed in a different language (currently German or Japanese), you as the dashboard's Enterprise-Admin have the option to contact the HoloBuilder-Support-Team to request this change.
