Keep your 360 camera’s firmware compatible

  • Insta360 OneX (min. firmware 1.18.43)

  • Insta360 X2 (min. firmware: 1.0.59)

  • Insta360 X3 (min. firmware: 1.0.35)

Firmware incompatibilities might exist between JobWalk App and your camera. Updating your firmware beyond the suggested versions could lead to data loss. If you are unsure, please contact our support team which firmware version is the best.

Make sure your camera and phone are fully charged

Please fully charge the mobile device and the camera you use for capturing.

Best bring an external battery for the camera (if possible) or a power bank.

Note:

Continuous recording of videos can drain the battery quickly.

Make sure you have enough free storage on your phone and camera

We suggest you keep your 360 camera's storage capacities at maximum at all times.

Note:

After successful uploads, the JobWalk app will remove the raw video footage from the camera.

If you intend to capture a few short videos, 10-20 GB of storage should be sufficient.

For videos up to 15 minutes, we suggest the following

minimum amounts of available storage:

  • your mobile device: 64GB

  • your 360 camera: 64GB

Important:

Please note that processing videos longer than 15 minutes is currently not supported.

Use high-quality SD-cards for your camera

Not all SD cards are created equal. When you're using a SD card that is slower than

UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) or Video Speed Class 30 (V30), the camera's buffer is filled up as the videos get longer because the SD card can't write quickly enough.

In our experience the U1/V10 cards can handle around 4 minutes. For longer videos, we highly recommend SD cards that are classified as U3 or V30 and above.

Turn off “auto shutdown” and “sleep” of the camera

Some cameras have a feature that will automatically shut the camera down after a few minutes.

This can lead to failed data transfers between the camera and phone (JobWalk App).

To disable this feature, please refer to the user manual of the compatible camera you are using.

For example, it can be done with the Insta360 One X2 cameras under the following steps:

  • Basic Settings -> General -> Auto Power Off -> Set to never

  • Basic settings -> Screen Auto sleep -> Timer -> Never

For iOS ≥17: set “Auto-lock” to never

It is recommended to set the Auto-Lock function to "Never" on your iOS mobile device.

1. Go to Settings and click General.

2. Click Auto-Lock and choose Never.
