HoloBuilder VideoMode

VideoMode is a great tool which allows fast and seamless capturing of data. Due to the high amount of data that's being captured unfortunately not all devices suited to work with JobWalk app in general are compatible for VideoMode. Please make sure that you have a 360 camera listed below and a mobile device with at least 4 GB of RAM available when working with VideoMode.

360° cameras for VideoMode

We highly recommend working with Insta360° X3 or X2 cameras as those currently provide the best results with VideoMode

  • Insta360 X3 (min. firmware: 1.0.35)

  • Insta360 X2 (min. firmware: 1.0.59)

    • Note: Does not work with the Timelapse mode - please use standard mode.

  • Insta360 OneX (min. firmware 1.18.43)

  • Insta360 One RS - 1-Inch

    • Note: Does not work with the Timelapse mode - please use standard mode.

  • Ricoh Theta X

Use a high-quality SD card (U3 or V30 and above)

Not all SD cards are created equal!
Use an SD card with speed class U3/V30 and above to avoid data loss.

When you're using a SD card that is slower than UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) or Video Speed Class 30 (V30), the camera's buffer fills up as the videos get longer because the SD card can't write quickly enough. Your camera will not be able to save your data anymore resulting in data loss.

We recommend working with a card with speed class U3/V30 and above and only purchasing name-brand microSD cards through official resellers.

If you are looking into what memory card to purchase, find here the list of recommended Memory cards from Insta.

Mobile devices for VideoMode

We recommend working with newer mobile devices with at least 4 GB RAM available - the more RAM, the better.

VideoMode is available in the HoloBuilder JobWalk app. The JobWalk app is available for mobile devices running on iOS and Android.

In order to have the best processing and transferring experience with VideoMode, it is recommended to use newer mobile devices with a high RAM - the higher, the better. Your mobile device should have a mimimum of 4 GB RAM available to leverage VideoMode.
