Measurements allow you to rapidly verify distances, lengths and areas in the 2D view, 3D view and walk mode view.
The figures below show a measurement in the 2D view and a measurement in the 3D view.
Create Measurements
Go to the view in which you want to create a measurement.
Note that measurements in the walk mode view are only possible if the panorama image contains depth information.Click icon
in the toolbar on the right side.
Click the point in the view where you want to start the measurement.
Drag the mouse to the next measurement point and click.
Repeat the above step if you need more than one measurement point.
To finish the measurement, double-click the end measurement point.
To finish a perimeter measurement, double-click the first measurement point.
If you measure a perimeter in the 2D view, the complete perimeter as well as square feet/meters are calculated automatically, see figure above.
If you want to cancel a measurement and restart, right-click or press the ESC key.
Further Options in the Measurement Toolbar
: Convert a measurement into an annotation.
: Change the measurement unit, i.e. clicking m changes the unit to ft and vice versa.
: Opens a dropdown with the copy to clipboard options. Available options are Copy all (default), Copy distance and Copy coordinate (for copy&paste the list of coordinates in Autodesk commands)
: Displays the 3D distance (default).
: Displays vertical and horizontal distances.
: Displays distances along the x, y and z axes.
: Delete a measurement.
Pressing the Shift key while placing measurement points will snap the measurement vertically or horizontally depending on the angle.
