Measurements allow you to rapidly verify distances, lengths and areas in the 2D view, 3D view and walk mode view.

The figures below show a measurement in the 2D view and a measurement in the 3D view.

Create Measurements

  1. Go to the view in which you want to create a measurement.
Note that measurements in the walk mode view are only possible if the panorama image contains depth information.

  2. Click icon in the toolbar on the right side.

  3. Click the point in the view where you want to start the measurement.

  4. Drag the mouse to the next measurement point and click.

  5. Repeat the above step if you need more than one measurement point.

  6. To finish the measurement, double-click the end measurement point.
To finish a perimeter measurement, double-click the first measurement point.

If you measure a perimeter in the 2D view, the complete perimeter as well as square feet/meters are calculated automatically, see figure above.

If you want to cancel a measurement and restart, right-click or press the ESC key.

Visibility of Measurements

Once a measurement is captured, it is also visible to other users navigating the project. Most of the measurements will be available across other views. Their visibility will depend on the type of view activated and of the current position of the camera. Moving far away from a measurement will first collapse its detail information and then fade it once the camera is too far away.

You can configure the visibility of elements in the current view in the General View Settings in the toolbar.
