Projects: Tabs Active and Archived

When you open Sphere XG, the active projects of your workspace are displayed in the tab Active. This tab contains projects that are no longer in use or which you want to hide.

By default, projects are displayed in a tile view, but you can toggle between tile and list view. You can also export the content of tabs Active and Archived in .csv format.

Difference between Tabs Active and Archived

Tab Active contains the projects that you are currently working with. If you no longer need a project, you can move it to tab Archived on tab Overview of the Projects page. You can undo this procedure. Archiving projects is also possible from the Projects tab of the Groups page.

Archiving projects helps you keep your workspace organized by moving less relevant projects out of immediate view. This allows you and your team to focus on currently active projects.

Note that you must also archive a project before you can delete it.

Project Information and Functionality on both Tabs

Clicking a project tile or a project list entry opens the project overview, see chapter Projects: Tab Overview.

If you hover the mouse pointer over a project tile or project list entry in either of the tabs, the following icons become visible:

Share project: Opens a popup with a link to the project. You can then copy the link and send it via email or other communication tool to the person(s) you want. If the project's access level is Private, the addressee of the link needs a Sphere XG account or must create one and must be invited to the project or workspace. If the project's access level is Via link, anyone with the project link can see the project.

Open a project: Opens the project in the Sphere XG Viewer.

Checkboxes (only list view): Allows selecting one, several or all projects.

In addition, the following information is displayed on the project tile or in the project list entry:

  • A standard or individual preview image. You can change this image on the Project page.

  • Time when the project was created.

  • Access Level: Shows whether the project is private or whether it can be shared via a link.

The following information is only displayed in the list view:
