If the sheet was uploaded manually into a project, you can set the scale of the sheet so that you can define which length on the sheet or grid corresponds to which length in real life. Sheets which are created from uploaded data, for example from CAD files, are already scaled correctly.
To simplify the description, sheets AND grids are referred to as sheet in the following explanations.
Sheets are displayed with icon in the project structure view of the Sphere XG Viewer.
Click the three-dots icon of the sheet to open the dropdown menu.
Select menu item Set Scale.
The mouse pointer changes to crosshairs .
Click two points on the sheet.
After you have clicked the second point, the popup Enter the real-world distance of the line is shown.
From the dropdown list, select the measurement unit you want (metric and imperial units are available).
Enter the real-world distance.
Click outside the popup to close it and confirm your entries.
Optional: click icon on the right side of the screen to make a colored sheet black and white, see also Make a Sheet Black and White.
Click button Apply Changes in the top right corner of the screen to apply the scale to your sheet and return to the Sphere XG Viewer.
You can edit or delete a scale later, see below.
Edit or Delete a Scale
After you have set the scale and closed popup Enter the real-world distance of the line, the Edit and Delete options are displayed.
Clicking icon Edit opens popup Enter the real-world distance of the line again.
Clicking Delete , removes the real-world distance you have entered.
