How to clear the browser cache

Clear your browser cache of unnecessary data to ensure an issue-free HoloBuilder/Sphere XG experience.

Your browser constantly saves data about everything from your projects to display options or passwords. Therefore, it is recommended to clear your browser cache every now and then. This will prevent display errors with the interface in the web editor or password problems - everything that might be influenced by the browser cache.

Google Chrome

  1. Press the keys [Ctrl] [Shift] and [Del] to open the browser menu, where you can delete the cache.

  2. In the upper dropdown, define the time range you want to delete. We recommend deleting all cache data.

  3. Now, click the Delete button and all temporary services and files of your browser will be deleted.

  4. Reload the page.

Alternative solution:

  1. Press [F12] - the developer console opens in a side panel or the browser.

  2. Right-click on the reload browser tab icon (next to the address bar).

  3. Select the option "Empty cache and reload".

Mozilla Firefox

  1.  Press the keys [Ctrl] [Shift] and [Del] to open the browser menu, where you can delete the cache.

  2. In the dropdown, define the time range you want to delete. We recommend deleting all cache data. 

  3. Under browser history, remove all checks except for cache

  4. Finally, click Delete now and your browser cache will be deleted.

Safari 

  1. Press the keys [CMD] [ALT] and [E].

  2. In the now opened popup, click on the Advanced tab.

  3. Check the option Show develop menu in the menu bar at the bottom. Now, you should see a new menu item in the main menu named Develop

  4. Click on the Develop item and then select Empty Caches from the submenu.

  5. Reload the site.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the three dots symbol on the browser bar at the top.

  2. Then browse to the "History" ([Ctrl] + [H]).

  3. Now you can click on "Clear history".

  4. Check the option "Cached data and files"

  5. Confirm the selection with a click on the "Clear" button.

Internet Explorer 11

  1.  Press the keys [Ctrl] [Shift] and [Del] to open the browser menu, where you can delete the cache.

  2. In the Delete browser history menu, remove all checks except the "Temporary Internet files and website files" check. 

  3. Click on Delete to empty the browser cache. 

  4. Reload the page.

Opera

  1. Press the keys [Ctrl] [Shift] and [Del] to open the browser menu, where you can delete the cache. 

  2. Select the period "since installation", to empty the entire browser cache.

  3. Now, click the Delete browser data button to confirm. 

  4. Refresh the page.
