You can upload projects from SCENE to Sphere XG.
If you tried uploading an Orbis project processed in SCENE to Sphere XG in the past and the result was faulty, synchronize the project again with SCENE 2025 and a Sphere XG version after 4 June 2025. For more information on synchronizing projects, see Upload and Download SCENE Projects to/from Sphere XG in the SCENE user manual.
Now, you can also use the Sphere XG workflow to upload Orbis captures directly via Stream or by uploading a folder, see Process and Register Scans.
NOTICE: Do not overwrite scans in SCENE that have already been synchronized with Sphere XG! (For example by exporting and then reimporting or overwriting scans from a backup copy.) If you overwrite scans in SCENE and then synchronize with Sphere XG again, these scans will be considered to be new scans. As a result, all scan data in Sphere XG, e.g. annotations, will be overwritten and cannot be recovered.
You can access the SCENE project in Sphere XG as soon as the overview map has been created. Sphere XG will automatically update while the upload is progressing.
Especially in very large SCENE projects it may happen that the project is only partially uploaded, for example if a scan failed to upload. However, the SCENE project will still be accessible as soon as the overview map has been generated.
You can check for upload issues in the Cloud Activity form. In case of an error, the following error message will be displayed.
If this error occurs, you (or the user working with SCENE) must save the project again in SCENE and restart the upload process.
