Users with project roles are invited to a project by users with workspace roles.
A project role is a list of permissions for a particular project. This means that they do not have permissions for any other project and that they cannot create projects. This also means that they only have limited access to Sphere XG features.
This article only contains general role descriptions. You can find a table view of the workspace roles in the Sphere XG User Manual, under Table View of Roles and Permissions on the Workspace and Project Level.
The following project roles are available:
Project Admin
Project Editor
Project Viewer
Users can have more than one workspace and project role. For example, a Group Manager may also be Project Admin in the same workspace or another workspace.
Project Admin Role
Project Admins can edit projects and manage users for projects they were invited to. The Project Admin role permissions are similar to the Project Manager role permissions. However, the Project Admin cannot create new projects.
Project Editor Role
Project Editors can view and edit projects to which they were invited. In contrast to Project Admins, Project Editors cannot access the project properties.
Project Viewer Role
Project Viewers can view projects to which they have access, either by invitation to a private project or via a shared link to the project. They do not have any editing permissions.
