IMPORTANT

As the Legacy Sphere Viewer has been slowly replaced by the new Sphere XG Viewer, you are not able to access the Legacy Sphere Viewer through HoloBuilder anymore. In order to get the best experience, please talk to us to transition over to Sphere XG now.

Note:

  1. Once you have opened the project in the Legacy Sphere Viewer, click on the
    Connect Point Cloud button in the upper right corner.

    Note:

    Currently, only the following HoloBuilder roles can connect a point cloud
    Project Manager
    Enterprise Admin


  2. Login to your FARO® Legacy Sphere Account (where you have uploaded your scans).

  3. Confirm the connection of your HoloBuilder project with Sphere.

  4. Select the workspace to create a Sphere copy of the HoloBuilder project in, that will synchronize automatically.

  5. Select your Point Cloud from the panel on the right.
    Make sure to select the correct floor plan on the left.

  6. Align the Point Cloud using 2 points.

    Note:

    This does not change the Point Cloud scaling, this 2 - point alignment method scales the floor plan t the point cloud.

  7. Set the height of the Point Cloud relative to the floor plan.

  8. Confirm the alignment. A new linked project will now be created in your Sphere Account.
