You can align point clouds to a sheet. If you do not have a sheet, you can also use the grid supplied by Sphere XG to align your point cloud in a symmetrical way.
A sheet (floorplan in Sphere Legacy) is a 2D representation of a point cloud or a CAD file that is added to the project as reference. A sheet is visible in in the 2D view. It can be overlaid with other 3D information or annotations.
IMPORTANT
Currently it is not possible to add a sheet later if you have only added a grid, nor can you add a grid and change it later. This can only be done by opening your project in HoloBuilder.
After you have created a new project, click Open in Sphere XG.
The following form is displayed:Enter a sheet name.
Add a sheet via drag&drop or select the file you want from your file system.
Typically, sheets are exported floorplans in PNG format.
OR
Click Use Grid if you do not have a sheet.
In this case a simple grid is added. You can go back to the initial form by clicking Select a Different Image.
Click Upload Grid.
The Sphere Viewer is displayed with either the sheet or the grid in the project area. Grids have a vertical numerical scale and a horizontal alphabetical scale.
