Learn how VideoMode Walks are visualized in Sphere XG.

For a full description of VideoMode, see section VideoMode.

VideoMode walks are now seamlessly integrated into Sphere XG.

2D View

Previously, a VideoMode trajectory and it's scenes were displayed as follows in Sphere XG in the 2D view:

Scenes were created at regular intervals represented by the blue dots. However, you could not make any measurements in these scenes nor add annotations.

Starting July 2026, this representation has been changed. Now, if you make a VideoMode walk, scenes are created as regular waypoints represented with the icon at the location of the capture about every two meters. If there is already a waypoint or a location marker, the scene is added to this waypoint. These scenes are then also available in the time travel menu.

NOTE: For internal reasons, you will also still see the smaller blue dots. Those will be removed in the future. If you want such a dot converted to a regular waypoint, simply right-click it and select Promote.

You an also hide the trajectory in the general view settings by deactivating the Trajectories switch, see also General View Settings.

Project Structure View

  • Trajectories are displayed with the icon.

  • Scenes are displayed with the icon, i.e. the same as for 360°. By default they are named Scene followed by a number.
