You can hide and show waypoints of scans and scans in the Sphere XG views.

While the procedure is the same, the effect is different depending on the view and on the creation or republishing time of your project, see explanations below.

Click the and icons in the structure view to hide and show the waypoints or scans.

Effect on 2D View and Walkmode View

In these views, clicking the icon of the waypoint or the cluster will hide the waypoint in real time.

Effects on the 3D View

In the 3D view, this feature is designed to hide scans, i.e. if you click the icon for a scan, the points of this scan will be hidden in real time.

This only works for projects that were either created or republished in Sphere XG after January 2026. In any other projects, only the waypointswill be hidden as described above for the 2D view and the walkmode view.

NOTICE: Risk of data loss! Republishing a project uploaded via SCENE will remove manual edits from the project point cloud in Sphere XG as described under Republishing SCENE Projects Troubleshooting. Read this description carefully and then decide if you want to republish the project.

For more information on how to republish a project, follow the instructions on page Process and Register Scans in section Workflow type and Publishing options.
