Prerequisites before First Use
Ensure your Insta360 X3 is activated. If you haven’t activated it yet, download the Insta360 app to your mobile device and follow the instructions in the Insta tutorial link below.
Download the latest JobWalk App Version.
Optional: Make yourself acquainted with button layout, basic operation, compatibility, storage devices, battery and charging, etc. of your Insta360 X3.

Prepare Camera Connection in the JobWalk App
Start the JobWalk App and download/update an existing project or create a new project.
Select an existing sheet or add a new sheet to the project.
Tap on the sheet to place the first 360° photo.
Follow the instructions below or on the app screen for setting up the connection to your Insta360 X3.
When editing an existing project, make sure to have your HoloBuilder project downloaded/updated before connecting to the camera.
Start Camera and Mobile Device
Insta camera:
Press the
button to switch on the camera.
Mobile device:
Turn on WiFi and open the WiFi list.
Select the Insta360 X3 WiFi from the network list.
The WiFi network name starts with X3. The WiFi connection between camera and mobile device is required to be able to capture capture 360° photos on-site and place them directly on a sheet.Enter the password you chose for this camera.
You can now go back to the JobWalk App and and start capturing. You’ll see a first instructional screen of how to start capturing with the JobWalk App.
You can also first establish the connection between your mobile device and the camera and then open the JobWalk App. This way you can directly start capturing on your project.
You are now good to go!

Did you register your camera?
Before first use, Insta requires an initial activation via their app. If you have not registered your insta camera yet, follow this workflow X3 Activation.SD card in camera?
Insta360 cameras require an SD card to capture images & videos. You can find a list of recommended SD cards from Insta here.WiFi not available in network list?
Ensure WiFi on the camera and on your mobile device are turned on.Sleep mode deactivated?
Ensure sleep mode is deactivated on your Insta360 camera.
