Project roles in Sphere XG

Note: 'Workspace Roles' are 'Company Roles' in HoloBuilder.

Users with project roles are invited to a project by users with workspace roles.

A project role is a list of permissions for a particular project. This means that they do not have permissions for any other project and that they cannot create projects. This also means that they only have limited access to Sphere XG features.

The following project roles are available:

  • Project Admin

  • Project Editor

  • Project Viewer

Users can have more than one workspace and project role. For example, a Group Manager may also be Project Admin in the same workspace or another workspace.

Permissions of the 'Project Admin' Role

Project Admins can edit projects and manage users for projects they were invited to. The Project Admin role permissions are similar to the Project Manager role permissions. However, the Project Admin cannot create new projects.

Project Admins can:

  • View and edit the project properties of the projects to which he/she was invited.

Project Admins cannot:

  • Create new projects.

  • Archive projects or move archived projects back to tab Active.

  • Delete projects.

User-related Permissions

  • View users and user roles of the project he/she is invited to.

  • Edit the project roles of the project he/she is invited to.

  • View all users and user roles of the workspace.

  • Invite users to the workspace.

  • Assign workspace roles to existing users.
