There are two options to filter for tags in Sphere XG.
Toolbar Options in the Viewer
Using this filter option will hide any waypoints and annotations in the Viewer that do not match the filter.
1. Click the 
icon in the toolbar on the right side.
2. In the filter form, mark the checkbox of one or more tags.
The number of marked tags is displayed on the filter icon. In the active view, only annotations with the marked tags are displayed.
Filter Option in the Project Structure View
This filter option mainly affects the objects in the project structure view. It will hide any waypoints in the project structure view that do not match the assigned filter. In the Viewer, objects that do not match the filter will be grayed out. Note that this filter does not affect annotations (because they do not appear in the project structure view).
1. Click the 
icon next to the search field in the project structure view.
2. Set the filter as described above.
